This one day course is designed to cover all the essential skills require to safely dive a twinset within recreational depths and to acquaint new twinset owners with their equipment. Whether you want to use a twinset for greater safety, longer runtimes or additional gas resources then this course will provide the required skills to safely use manifolded twinsets.

Equipment is available for hire if required.

Wings and backplates- assembly, maintenance and usage

Skills taught on the course include:

Advanced buoyancy control

Propulsion - frog kick, flutter kick, helicopter turns and back kick

Ascent control

DSMB deployment

Valve shutdowns

Out of gas drills.

Dive 1

Familiarise students with equipment and practice the following skills in shallow water:

Buoyancy Control

Out of gas

Valve drills

Core Dive skills including mask removal and replacement, no mask swim, Long hose deployment

Dive 2

Further skills practice including

Buoyancy control

Out of gas drills

Valve drills

SMB Deployment

Basic ascents

Pre-requisites

1. Divers must be qualified to Advanced open Water or equivalent and have a minimum of 30 dives.

2. Must be at least 18 years old.

The maximum student instructor ratio is 2:1 on this course.
