Cost : £280 including IANTD course manual and certification

Duration: 3 days

The IANTD Deep diver course is designed to train divers the basic skills required for extended range diving and introduce sport divers to the concepts and procedures involved in decompression diving.

This is an ideal course for divers moving from recreational diving to technical diving and for those that have not previously completed any type of decompression training. The course develops the necessary skills, theory and planning required for deep diving to a maximum depth of 39m and includes decompression planning and training.

Following on from an equipment familiarisation session there are 4 dives with a total minimum bottom time of 100 minutes. Divers are trained in skills such as Out of gas drills, Valve shutdowns, run time management and decompression planning.

Pre-requisites are a minimum of Advanced Open Water or equivalent and 50 logged dives - the course is run using twinsets and those students who have not completed a Twinset fundamentals course are encouraged to do so before undertaking the course.

The Deep diver course is pre-requisite for both the Advanced Nitrox and Advanced Recreational Trimix courses.

Please note that entry fees, gas and accommodation are not included in the course costs
