The IANTD Rescue diver course is designed to provide Divers with the training to manage technical rescue situations involving the use of technical diving equipment such as Twinsets to develop proficiency in both self and buddy rescue.

Skills from the course include

1. Configuration of equipment to increase safety and efficiency

2. Missing diver procedures andsearches

3. Diver rescue involving both the concious and unconcious casualty

4. Gas sharing ascents

5. Surface rescue skills and rescue management for the technical diver

6. Self rescue skills

Course Requirements

1.Must be a qualified Advanced Open Water diver or equivalent

2. Must be qualified in Diving First Aid, Oxygen Administration and CPR - we recommend the PADI Emergency first response and Oxygen provider courses

3. Must provide proof of minimum of 15 dives

4. Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with a parent or guardian authorization or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval

Equipment Requirements

  • Twinset
  • BCD or Wing
  • Alternate air source - minimum 3 ltr
  • DSMB and Reel/spool
  • Appropriate exposure protection
  • Bottom timer or computer
