Emergency Oxygen Provider

The initial treatment for most diving related injuries involves the administration of oxygen. This course is designed to teach the provision of oxygen first aid for scuba diving injuries and trains both diving and non-diving students to recognise dive-related injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services and arranging evacuation.

To enroll in the oxygen provider course you need to be over 12 years of age and have proof of CPR training within the last 24months.

The course involves the academic study of the benefits, hazards and equipment associated with the provision of oxygen and then focuses on hands-on practical experience including a series of senarios.

Oxygen has been proved to form a vital part of the chain of survival for a diver suffering from a diving related injury.
